And now for something completely different… I’ve been asked several times to do a “pullback” shot of my home shooting space. Things have changed quite a bit since the last time I posted a photo. For starters, I flipped rooms with the playroom and formal dining for more ceiling height. And I guess “the biggie” would be that I’m now shooting with Alien Bees. I used hot-continuous studio lights for 5 years so it’s a bit of a learning curve for me. However, it’s a necessity now that I’m doing product / magazine photography. Some of you might remember that we literally had to start over from scratch with our home and my business a year ago, so I’m pretty proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in such a short period of time! Another week…another great giveaway! Today I’m joined by my good friend Stacy who has just launched a new store on Etsy – Fiber Arts by Boondock Studios.

One of my favorite props ever is “The Ultimate Grassy Blanket“. Newborns wiggle and squish into it and seem to absolutely love the texture. You can see it in use here at one of my recent sessions.
