The title from the last giveaway (#31) is the French translation of “My Way” – I thought the lyrics quite appropriate for what turned out to be an 8-day event! I also have a special connection to the song. It is one of my first memories as a child, and I could not have been more than 4 years old at the time. Believe it or not, our birthday celebration is finally winding down! As much fun as it’s been, we’re ready to take a small break here at Paperie. It’s going to be one heckuva hangover…

As promised…winner announcements started Monday! Please be patient with us. We’ll be announcing as quickly as we can! And now for something completely different… I’ve been asked several times to do a “pullback” shot of my home shooting space. Things have changed quite a bit since the last time I posted a photo. For starters, I flipped rooms with the playroom and formal dining for more ceiling height. And I guess “the biggie” would be that I’m now shooting with Alien Bees. I used hot-continuous studio lights for 5 years so it’s a bit of a learning curve for me. However, it’s a necessity now that I’m doing product / magazine photography. Some of you might remember that we literally had to start over from scratch with our home and my business a year ago, so I’m pretty proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in such a short period of time!
