button True story.

I was so excited to be contacted by Courtney Reece to feature her packaging in a guest post here at Paperie Boutique. (And not just because her site launches with a Barney Stinson quote.) Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

I have just put the finishing touches on my packaging with the help of past photographers that have been featured on your site!

I’m a wedding photographer primarily so when I thought about my packaging I wanted it clean and elegant and reminiscent of weddings. But at the same time I wanted there to be a small pop of color because that’s just a little piece of me. Blue is my favorite color and of course it’s a small piece of my logo so added that pop of color in the ribbons I tied around my presentation boxes.

A very important part of my packaging is my thank you cards. It’s probably one of my favorite parts of all my packaging! It never matters how many weddings I shoot, I never feel any less grateful to be a part of such an important and special day. This is just one small way I can show my appreciation by writing a note of gratitude to each client.

My discs came from Discmakers (a huge thanks to Gail Werner for her referral to them). I love them! They were incredibly easy to order and the quality is great! And they look amazing in the white tin disc holders that I got from Effectuality, Inc.

Finally a brief word on my pricing and information guide, you may be surprised to find they were printed at FedEx Office. They were printed on their gloss text paper and I was pleased enough with the turnout not to turn anywhere else for them as of yet. It’s one of the only places I’ve found right now at a comfortable price that doesn’t require a minimum print order which I prefer, since my pricing and information is subject to change. But as you can see, they don’t look too shabby!

Hi, I went over to Coutney’s blog and commented on how great these are.

In the UK these types of welcome packs are rare and I would really like to create one of my own so I can stand a little from the maddening crowd.

Could Paperie Boutique please post a blog on how to put one together and what information typically goes in one.

I would very much appreciate that and I think your readers would too.

    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

    Great topic idea!

I have put up what goes in mine on Flickr in the past in the meantime – you can check out this old photo:

Hover over the image and each piece will have notes about what’s inside.

And this Paperie guest post has an awesome welcome kit example:

Very cute packaging, Courtney. I like how clean it looks. Thanks for sharing!

Robyn, thanks for the link. I know you use the “pool” paper source envelopes, but WHERE did you get the charcoal gray folder. I’ve been looking for something similar to Miller’s boutique packaging for ages. (I’m hoping hb is going to come through…) :)

    Robyn,

Thank you for the links, much appreciated. Your link to Flickr has a lot of information in the notes and well put together.

I’m looking for the types of information to include in the following types of packs and any pointers would be great:

    * Wedding Photography Welcome Pack
    * Adult Portrait Photography Welcome Pack
    * Family Portrait Photography Welcome Pack
    * Infant Portrait Photography Welcome Pack

A lot of the information would I suspect be used in all of the packs and so I guess I need to know what I want to put in my “Base Welcome Pack” and then I add the type specific information.

    Thanks,
    Ramesh

    Hello,
I love the CD boxes, but I can’t seem to find them on the providers website. I find them only in metallic. Would it be possible to post the specific link?
    Thanks!

Hi! I think these packages are amazing. I’m new to photography and I’ve been looking for a way to present my business in a more professional way. I was wondering if anyone can guide in deciding or telling what exactly goes in these packages. Or if you know a site that tells how to make one that would be great to.

    thanks!

This was a great post! Always love seeing different styles of packaging. Courtney has created such a clean and crisp look. I would be excited to receive her items if I was a bride!
